First, I am so sorry for your loss. You should keep bf and like you said let her wean herself. Start cutting out some feedings since she is 1. BF does not make it impossible to concieve. Many women have concieved and have healthy babies. My trouble is I need to know if I am ovulating since I don't have a period. That might be where I buy one of the ovulation things like you did. Remember just because you don't have a period doesn't mean your not ovulating. And your chance of concieving has increased because I your daughter is older than 6 months, eats solids and probably sleeps longer at night. Those things make LAM (breast feeding as bc) no longer a reliable form of birth control!
